Activities of Collaboration with the Vincentian Family this year 2015 – 2016.

01.2016 South India [1]The year of collaboration of the Vincentian family announced by the Superior General Rev. Fr. Gregory Gay has moved several steps ahead within this short time. We had our general meeting of the National Vincentian Family held in Mysore (South India) in the month of February 2015 presided by Fr. Gregory Gay. It was attended by one hundred and ten participants from various Vincentian families. The idea of collaboration and sharing of experiences helped the Vincentian family to come closer to the poor and to our charism.

01.2016 South India [2]In South India we began the Vincentian Family in the year 2004.  From its conception till today it is improving and growing. At the beginning only a few people and branches existed. As  time passed we have grown much, come together and  know each other in a better way. At present there are 13 branches working together as one family. Every year we come together at the state level and the national level 1) for the celebration of our Vincentian Charism, celebration of Vincentian saints and to share the life experiences as one family. 2) to share the experiences of Vincentian activities and grow as a family in Vincentian communion and collaboration. But still collaborative work has not yet reached to the optimum. So we are working hard and it is improving and there is a hope that we can achieve a lot.

01.2016 South India [3]Prior to the formation of the Vincentian Family we began to work with the other branches of Vincentian Family. First, by taking care of the people living with HIV  in collaboration with the Vincentian Congregation Priests (VC) at Divine Retreat Center Muringoor, Kerala. Many men, women and children are well cared by the service of the sisters. The 2nd Institution we began in the year 2004 to collaborate with the members of Vincent De Paul Society. Hospice for the HIV/AIDS affected people of Mumbai. It is a 100 bed hospice, which is the best in Mumbai for this service.

Along with this we too conduct a five days seminar on Vincentian spirituality at our seminary. Members of different Vincentian branches take part in it.
