[Province of Central Africa] What a great joy for all of us ! With the celebration of two feasts, the opening of the month dedicated to Our Lady and the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, we began our Seminary. We are delighted in our “birth” in the Company of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. It is a God-given grace. We are making a step forward.
Thanks to Father Juan AVILA, CM, and to our Visitatrice, Sister Remedios LOPEZ who gave their time to be with us in our preparation and in the celebration of the Eucharist for that unforgettable day.
Father Juan invited us to make the radical choice of seeing where we came from and where we are going and said that in life you have to have a deep faith to be fervent sisters. This prompted us to reflect again on our personal commitment to our vocation, a voluntary commitment, decisive and sustainable. Sister Remedios recalled that the Seminary is a time of interiorization in order to live with Christ. She insisted on the love for and a deepening of understanding of the Constitutions and Statutes and on being open, little by little, to those who will accompany us, showing us who we are.
We are grateful to the Divine Providence community, the Seminary community and all in the Company of the Daughters of Charity who thought of us.
We ask God to grant us the grace to live well this stage of recollection so as to be good servants of Christ in those who are poor. We entrust ourselves to the Blessed Virgin Mary, only mother of the Company, and the intercession of Saint Vincent and Saint Louise.
The new Seminary Sisters.
