[Province of Warsaw, Poland] From August 5 to 12, 2019 the Warsaw Province of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Poland hosted the Provincial Councils of Slavic Countries in Łbiska. The Visitatrices, Father Directors and other members of the Councils from: Albania, Slovenia, Slovakia and three Polish Provinces: Chełmno-Poznań, Krakow and Warsaw came to this meeting. In addition, the General Superiors took part: the Sister Councillor for Slavic languages, Hanna Cybula, the General Econome, Sister Teresa Sanno and the Director General, Father Bernard Schoepfer. The whole group counted 50 people.
The session covered current matters of the Company and the Provinces in Slavic areas. The time was filled with meetings, conferences and prayer, which particular language groups prepared for the following days. In addition other Sisters were invited who were responsible for the translation in a specially prepared room with audio equipment.
There were also moments of joy during those meetings. Friday afternoon the whole group went sightseeing the Polish capital Warsaw, which ended with dinner and a visit to the Provincial House of the Daughters of Charity of the Province of Warsaw. In the late evening all guests returned to Łbiska for rest.
The meeting ended on Monday, August 12, with Holy Mass, which was a thanksgiving to God and to people for a rich time of grace, sharing the experience of the Vincentian charism.
