Conseils_Slaves (1)[Poland – Krakow] From the 18th through 22nd of October a meeting was held of the provinces of the Blessed Sister Marta Wiecka group :  the Provinces of Poland : Chelmno, Krakow, Warsaw, the Province of Slovakia, the Province of Slovenia, the Region of Albany with Sister Evelyne Franc – Superioress General, Father Patrick Griffin – Director General and Sister Zofia Daniscakova, General Councillor.

During the meeting we shared: solemn liturgy, conferences, work groups, personal reflection, sharing, meeting the children and youth of Saint Vincent Home, a visit to Krakow, pilgrimages to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy and to the John Paul II Center.

In her presentations, Sister Evelyne underlined the role of the Visitatrix in the accompaniment of Sister Servants.  She also suggested themes for reviving reflection in our Provinces in this time preceding the Assemblies

Father Patrick’s very interesting talks presented the spirituality of the service of authority.  He emphasized the need for preparation for this service all throughout formation.  He emphasized the rediscovery of faith and its transmission.

The meeting was an opportunity to further the mission entrusted to us by the Company, for us to get to know one another and to make even stronger ties among our Provinces.  Thanks be to God for all the graces received during this time.
