Sending On Mission February 22, 2013

[Province of Central Africa]  In his Apostolic Letter, “Porta Fidei,” Pope Benedict XVI reminds us, “By faith, the Apostles left everything to follow their Master (cf. Mk 10:28).  By faith, they went out to the whole world, following the command to bring the Gospel to all creation (cf. Mk 16:15) and they fearlessly proclaimed to all the joy of the resurrection, of which they were faithful witnesses.” (Porta Fidei n° 13)

In this Year of Faith and on the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter the Apostle, our province experienced joy and thanksgiving with three Seminary Sisters sent on mission: Immaculée MUKAHIGIRO and Marie Rose NYIRACYIZA, Rwandan; Laetitia BUCUMI, Berundian.

As St. Vincent said to our first Sisters on 29 September 1655, “… you’re bound to be always ready to practice charity, without exception of persons or places. God chose you for that…”  The Visitatrice exhorted the Sisters to always live in an attitude of ardent charity, testifying to a life given to God and to those who are poor.
