I was surprised by their enthusiastic response and great openness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.07.44-1-edited.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48758\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.07.44-1-edited.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.07.44-1-edited-480x360.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 900px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They kept saying that these types of threats need to be talked about openly so that girls and women know what to look out for, what situations to avoid, and that they need to carefully check the conditions of any job offer. While in public spaces, at train stations and in parks, they often encountered recruiters for criminal groups. They said that these were not only men, but also women, or couples pretending to be married and offering work. They said that dire financial circumstances, hunger, and homelessness push women to accept uncertain job offers and even to turn to prostitution. Fear, confusion, and sadness seem to attract criminals. They warned that you have to be careful on the streets, even when accepting food or drink from someone, as they had encountered situations where women were drugged in this way. There were also people offering free drugs to get the person they had their eye on addicted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/thumbnail.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/thumbnail.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/thumbnail-480x360.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 900px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Marianna: It started with dancing. I was a professional dancer invited to various corporate events and galas. Over time, my employers began to put more and more pressure on me, forcing me into prostitution. Once I agreed, there was no turning back. I tried to free myself by accepting a job offer in Germany. It was a trap, I was imprisoned there. A Polish man helped me escape. I returned in a terrible mental and physical state. My relative helped me by arranging therapy in a distant city and then helping me find a job and a place to live there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Alicja: Once, while hitchhiking, I came across a group of Bulgarians who kidnapped me. At a rest stop, I broke free, fought for my dignity, fought for my life. I managed to escape. I will never hitchhike again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.10.07-edited.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48760\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.10.07-edited.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.10.07-edited-480x360.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 900px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Anna: While hitchhiking, I was kidnapped, and the kidnapper put a gun to my head. I started begging him to let me go, and I played a video of my child on my phone. When he heard the child crying, he opened the door and threw me out of the moving car. I survived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Eleonora: I used to work illegally cleaning a family&#8217;s villa. A man would drive me there and back after work, but one day he started threatening me and making immoral propositions&#8230; How I prayed then&#8230; I asked my Guardian Angel for help the whole way. At a stop, I ran away and never went back there again. My Guardian Angel saved me&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.11.13-edited.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48761\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.11.13-edited.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/filles-de-la-charite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-29-at-16.11.13-edited-480x360.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 900px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The women unanimously agreed that after such experiences, it is difficult to trust someone, to form a romantic relationship, the trauma returns&#8230; often long-term therapy and psychiatric treatment are necessary. They emphasised how important it is to find a safe place, to be surrounded by kind people, to find a place where they can be in the company of women only.
