In 2026, the Company of the Daughters of Charity expresses gratitude to the Lord for the centenary of the publication of the Echo of the Mother House<\/em> (later rename Echos of the Company<\/em> in 1976): a publication that has accompanied the life of generations of Sisters throughout the world. Born in 1926 from the desire to bring the Mother House closer to the most distant Communities, this initiative gradually developed over time until it became a true space of communion, formation, and information for the entire Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these one hundred years, its pages have helped to nourish the sense of belonging to one spiritual family and have fostered growth in unity at the heart of the diversity of cultures, languages, and apostolic realities. They have welcomed spiritual reflection, Vincentian and ecclesial formation, the memory of the great moments of the Company, and, in a very particular way, the echo of the mission lived each day in the service of those who are poor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This publication progressively broadened its horizon. From a means of information focused above all on the life of the Mother House, it became a space in which the richness of the Provinces and Communities present throughout the world is increasingly embodied. In this way, it was transformed into a window open to the missionary dynamism of the Company, the creativity of charity, and the humble and concrete witness of so many Sisters who give their lives in the different places of mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, in a context where the means of communication have multiplied and relationships are also woven through new channels, this publication retains all its value. It remains a source of deeper reflection, a shared memory, and a support for renewing fidelity to the vocation, strengthening fraternal communion, and rekindling the flame of the charism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate this centenary is to welcome with gratitude a history woven of listening, transmission, and communion. It is also to ask the Holy Spirit to continue sustaining the Company so that it may journey in unity, allow itself to be constantly renewed by the Gospel, and awaken in the heart of each Sister the joy of serving Christ in those who are poor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
