From May 14 to 27, the Mother House of the Daughters of Charity in Paris is hosting an international gathering of Sisters from around the world who have been in the Company for more than 40 years, with the theme: Ephata! Living the joy of the Gospel now. This powerful moment of encounter, sharing and prayer is an opportunity for each one to experience a time of spiritual and Vincentian renewal.
Several themes have structured the exchanges and reflection:
- Renewing the missionary spirit of the vocation,
- Accepting one’s life journey with clarity and gratitude,
- Deepening maturity in prayer as a source of inner fruitfulness,
- Rediscovering the joy of mission, even in the midst of fragility,
- Opening oneself to intergenerational living,
- Becoming familiar with the digital world.
This session allows each Sister to re-examine her journey in light of her initial calling, to live more deeply in communion within the Company, and to share the hope of a living witness in the service of the poor.
