This Prayer Corner is inspired by the letter that Sister Françoise Petit addresses to all the Daughters of Charity for the feast of the Assumption on August 15, 2026. In the light of the Gospel of the Visitation, she invites us to contemplate Mary: a woman who rises, sets out, draws near with gentleness, listens, recognises what is lacking and remains to help.
In Mary, the missionary disciple, we recognise the way we desire to live our vocation in everyday, community and missionary life: caring for others, forging humble and fraternal relationships, breaking the cycle of solitude and helping each person to discover that they are valuable in God’s eyes and have their place in the human family. In this way, our simple gestures can open paths of peace and hope, so that righteousness may dwell on our earth.
