Saigon – September 20, 2025
Nearly 300 members of the Vincentian Family Vietnam, together with benefactors and guests, joyfully gathered at the Provincial House of the Daughters of Charity of Vietnam for a fraternal meeting and a solemn Mass in honour of our Founder, St. Vincent de Paul, on September 20. This year’s celebration was hosted by the Vincentian Marian Youth of Vietnam, with the support of the Vincentian Family Vietnam.

The gathering was especially meaningful with the presence of Fr. Kiko, Deputy General Director of the VMY, and Ms Marie Claire Balo, the Asia and Oceania Council of the VMY, who also serves on the Executive Board of the International Vincentian Family.

The day began with a warm welcome and a time of fellowship, followed by a greeting from the President of the Vincentian Family Vietnam, who introduced the National Coordinating Council and shared about its mission and activities. Afterwards, Ms Claire’s heartfelt talk helped members in Vietnam understand the global mission of the Vincentian Family more deeply, inspiring everyone with a renewed sense of unity in the Vincentian spirit and encouraging new initiatives and collaborations to serve those living in poverty.

A highlight of the celebration was a moving performance on the Vincentian spirit through the life of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati, presented by the VMY of Binh Loi, followed by a solemn and prayerful concelebrated Mass.

We give thanks to God for gathering us together in the charism of charity handed down by St. Vincent. May He continue to bless us with unity and love, so that in every act of service and compassion, we may glorify His name.
