“Share with gentleness the hope that is in your hearts” (cf. 1 Peter 3:15-16- Pope Francis for the 59th World Communications Day).
From July 31 to August 4, 2025, the Mother House in Paris hosted the annual meeting of the international team responsible for the Company of the Daughters of Charity’s website. During this meeting, the following activities were carried out:
- an evaluation of the tasks since the last meeting, with an analysis of the statistics on access and engagement of the site’s users.
- a commented reading of the document “Communication in the Company of the Daughters of Charity,” which sparked deep reflection on the role of communication in living the Vincentian charism. Each participant was able to express her opinion, recognising the value of the document as a guide for the entire Company.
- a reflection on the use of social media, particularly Facebook and Instagram, as tools for evangelisation and witness. Ways, decisions, and strategies were discussed to ensure consistent communication with the Church, consecrated life, and the charism of the Company.
The meeting also included moments of technical training, during which each Sister shared her knowledge to enrich the group. One of the most significant moments was the meeting with Sister Françoise Petit, Superioress General, who encouraged us with words of trust and gratitude, emphasising how important it is to be able to count on a team whose service helps to strengthen bonds and a sense of belonging to the Company.
We expressed our gratitude to Sister Elżbieta Kramp, who has ended her service with the team after seven years of dedication, and we welcomed Sister Dorota Stark with joy, wishing her a fruitful mission among us.
This meeting reaffirms our commitment to communication that unites, enlightens, and bears witness to Christ’s love in the digital world.
