Shkodra, Albania — The city was filled with the joy and vitality of around sixty young people from across Albania, who came not merely for a gathering or a stroll, but to spend a week of service in the Vincentian spirit. Together with the Daughters of Charity, the Lazarists, the Vincentian Marian Youth (JMV), the Association of the Miraculous Medal (AMM), and other young collaborators of the Vincentian Family, they took part in a service camp.

This camp was a rich experience of prayer, service, formation, friendship, and recreation. It provided young participants an opportunity to grow in human and Christian values, to strengthen their relationship with Christ, and to deepen their solidarity and love for people in diverse situations of need.

This year’s formation themes were: Pilgrims of Hope, Artificial Intelligence, Vocation, and the Virgin Mary in our lives. Witnessing the generosity, vitality, joy, and dedication of these young people is truly moving—a great sign of hope for the Church and for the world.
Serving the sick, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and those facing psychological difficulties stirred deep reflections—often to tears. The young participants received it as a grace and a lesson in gratitude for the gifts of health, family, and so many other blessings.
Through this service camp, the Vincentian Family continues to keep alive the flame of our Vincentian charism.
