In the heart of 19th-century Paris, a courageous woman walked through the city’s poorest alleys carrying more than food and medicine—she carried dignity. That woman was Sister Rosalie Rendu, a Daughter of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, whose devotion to the marginalized made her a symbol of compassion, social justice, and Christian solidarity.

More than a century after her quiet mission through the streets of Mouffetard, Sister Rosalie’s spirit remains alive—not only as an inspiring memory but as concrete action. A Platform in Motion:

In 2015, inspired by her life and service, the Daughters of Charity launched the Projets Rosalie crowdfunding platform. Created by the Fonds de Dotation Rosalie Rendu, this global initiative connects the public with small-scale social projects led by Sisters around the world.
From Burkina Faso to Brazil, Ukraine to Vietnam, the supported projects span essential areas such as:
- Education and support for vulnerable children
- Access to healthcare
- Agriculture and food security
- Vocational training and social reintegration
- Housing and dignified living
- Sustainable development
- Support for the most excluded
Each project is carefully selected, with budgets ranging from €1,000 to €6,000, ensuring direct impact, efficiency, and transparency. Donors are invited to participate not only financially but relationally: the platform shares stories and updates that bring generous hearts closer to the communities they support.
Celebrating 10 Years: Launch of an Inspiring Podcast
To mark the platform’s first decade, a commemorative podcast was launched in 2025. It explores Sister Rosalie’s legacy and the powerful transformations made possible through the funded projects. Each episode reveals a new facet of solidarity: Sisters in action, communities renewed, and donors becoming part of meaningful change.
More than a tribute, the podcast seeks to inspire a new generation to continue building bridges between real needs and hearts ready to respond.
A Call to Hope
Les Projets Rosalie Rendu is more than a donation platform—it is a network of hope, woven with faith, action, and love for one another.
