Sister Françoise Petit and Father Tomaž Mavrič meet Pope Francis

29/01/2023

Saturday 21st of January 2023, I had the joy, together with Father Tomaž Mavrič, of being received by Pope Francis.  It was an intense, simple and very fraternal meeting. We spoke about the situation in the Congo, the Sisters’ commitment to refugees and the presence of the Daughters of Charity in the countries of the Mediterranean. The Pope showed interest in the Jubilee of the “Light of Pentecost”. He also thanked the Company for its service in the dispensary of the Community of St Martha and asked instantly for our prayer. I assured him of the support of the Daughters of Charity throughout the world. You all were very present with us during our meeting. Sister Françoise. (Sister Françoise PETIT)
