Province of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, California Welcomes New Visitatrix

Magnificat! On January 8th 2022, during the celebration of the Eucharist, Sister Christina Maggi was installed Visitatrix of the Province, replacing Sister Julie Kubasak who was elected Assistant General in the recently concluded General Assembly in Paris.  Sister Marjorie Ann Baez, former Visitatrix of the Province, expressed her gratitude and that of the Sisters in the Province, for Sister Julie’s loving service as Visitatrix since 2017. Sister Julie then presented Sister Christina Maggi with the Patent from Sister Francoise Petit, Superioress General.

Sister Christina (Chris) Maggi is a native of San Francisco, California. She graduated from University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science and a Master’s degree in Private School Administration.  She entered the Daughters of Charity in 1980 and has served as a middle school teacher and principal, Provincial Secretary, Provincial Councillor, and Executive Director of the Daughters of Charity Foundation.
